This credit transfer website is a guide to credits available for completed TAFE NSW qualifications to articulate into a University or Higher Education Provider degree. It is designed to help you tailor your study journey. How much credit you are eligible for varies depending on course, institution chosen and the grades achieved. As credit arrangements are updated regularly, you should always confirm your eligibility with the offering institution. You can e-mail TAFE NSW if you need more information.

Course entry is competitive, not guaranteed. Applicants are advised to support their application with their study results, a resume/CV, personal statement and/or any other supporting documentation.
 
All Deakin University applicants, including those applying for guaranteed entry courses, must meet the English language criteria, minimum admission criteria and readmission clauses to be considered for entry as outlined at deakin.edu.au/admission-procedure. RPL will be assessed separately from entry. All applicants will be considered by selections officers on the basis for their ability to meet the educational demands of the course and their likelihood of success. Selection officers may consider, among other factors, your complete academic record including any studies completed before, during and after the listed TAFE qualification. If they feel that you will not be successful in the course, Deakin University may reject your application.
The outlined study pathways from TAFE NSW to Deakin University are available for the stated eligible Diploma and/or Advanced Diploma qualifications only. Applicants with other TAFE qualifications should refer to individual course entry requirements at deakin.edu.au/find-a-course to check eligibility for application. Always check the current availability of courses at TAFE NSW at tafensw.edu.au.
All international students should apply at deakin.edu.au/apply. Course entry is competitive, not guaranteed for international students. Applicants are advised to support their application with their study results, a resume/CV, personal statement and/or any other supporting documentation including portfolios and tests when relevant. International students must hold a valid Australian visa throughout their enrolment at Deakin, unless they are enrolled in Cloud Campus.
 

In 2021, all applicants (including Diploma of Nursing/Enrolled nurse) interested in applying for Deakin’s Bachelor of Nursing must apply via VTAC, as direct applications to the university mid-year (Trimester 2 and 3) intakes will no longer be an option. In 2021, Deakin will have only Trimester 1 intake available for students to apply for Deakin’s suite of nursing courses.

 

Applicants with a Diploma of Nursing who receive an offer via the 2021 VTAC January main round will commence in Trimester 2, 2021. Students who receive an offer in 2021, must be enrolled by 31st March 2021 to commence their studies in the Trimester 2 intake.
