This credit transfer website is a guide to credits available for completed TAFE NSW qualifications to articulate into a University or Higher Education Provider degree. It is designed to help you tailor your study journey. How much credit you are eligible for varies depending on course, institution chosen and the grades achieved. As credit arrangements are updated regularly, you should always confirm your eligibility with the offering institution. You can e-mail TAFE NSW if you need more information.
Degree: Bachelor of Community Services  Offering Institution: TAFE NSW Higher Education 
TAFE qualification: Community Services Diploma 
National code: CHC52015 
Available credits: Students holding a Diploma of Community Services may be eligible for:
  • up to 80 credit points (all first year subjects) out of a total 240 credit points if you can demonstrate you have completed 200 hours of work placement
  • up to 60 credit points (six first year subjects) if you have not completed 200 hours of work placement. You would need to complete Fields of Practice 1.

In your application you will be asked about your previous education and training. You must attach certified copies of academic transcripts as evidence of your educational achievement. Your application and credit will then be assessed by the TAFE NSW course coordinator.

Available credits: Students holding a Diploma of Youth Work may be eligible for:
  • up to 20 credit points out of a total of 240 credit points. You may be eligible for more depending on the elective units you have completed in the Diploma.
